South Korean Flag​

​The South Korean Flag, known as the Taegeukgi in Korean.  The white on the flag represents purity.

​The top left symbol represents the heavens. It is the strongest symbol on the flag.

The bottom left symbol represents fire.
Picture
​The Eumyang represents the balance of oposing forces. For example, winter and summer, fall and spring, day and night, heaven and earth, water and fire, etc.  ​When Eum and Yang are in harmony, the symbol is known as the Taegeuk
